This notice covers the website ogof.io, including the editor it serves.

Short version

• No analytics, no advertising, no tracking pixels, no third-party scripts or fonts.
• Your maps are stored in your own browser, not on our servers.

Your maps

A map you create on ogof.io is stored in your browser's own storage (IndexedDB) on your device. It is not sent to us. We cannot see it, recover it or delete it — clearing this site's data in your browser deletes it, and the editor's Download button saves a copy as files on your device.

If a map contains links to images on other websites, your browser loads those images directly from those websites, which then receive the usual request data (such as your IP address) under their own privacy terms.

Server access logs

ogof.io runs on servers we operate ourselves in Germany. When your browser requests a page, the web server in front of the site processes the technical data every web request carries — your IP address, the time, the requested address, the response status, the referring page and your browser's user-agent string — in order to deliver the page, and records it in access logs used to operate the service and to detect and stop abuse. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR, our legitimate interest in a secure and working website. These logs are not combined with other data, not used to build profiles and not shared with third parties.

The site's TLS certificates are issued by Let's Encrypt; no visitor data is sent to them.

Your rights

You have the right to access (Art. 15 GDPR), rectification (Art. 16), erasure (Art. 17), restriction of processing (Art. 18) and to object to processing based on legitimate interests (Art. 21). Write to the email address above. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority (Art. 77 GDPR); the authority responsible for us is the Unabhängiges Landeszentrum für Datenschutz Schleswig-Holstein (ULD).
